Men's Swimming and Diving Drops Non-Conference Meet to Ohio Wesleyan

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving team opened its 2015-2016 non-conference schedule with a 124-101 loss in a dual meet against Ohio Wesleyan University in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center.

The BW men were led by sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer Tyler Thompson (Broadview Heights /Brecksville-Broadview Heights) and freshman freestyler Alexander Morrow (Winchester, Va.) both with first place finishes. Thompson finished first in the 100-yard individual medley in a time of 56.84 seconds and 100-yard breaststroke with a wall touch of 59.88 seconds. Morrow placed first in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 57.50 seconds and finished second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:54.17. Freshman diver Cameron O'Brien won both diving events with scores of 144.40 and 212.25 points, respectively.

The 200-yard medley team of Morrow, Thompson, and seniors Sean Rudolph, Jr. (Warrensville Heights) and Nathan Onchuck (Darien, Ill. /Hinsdale South) placed first in a time of 1:43.59. In addition, Rudolph placed second in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 58.71 seconds. All-OAC junior Jacob Burk (Bowling Green) placed second in the 500-yard freestyle with a wall touch of 5:08.56.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, October 30 when they host a non-conference dual meet against Bethany (W. Va.) College in the BW Natatorium at 6 p.m.
