BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Jacob Burk is competing in his third season of swimming and diving at Baldwin Wallace University in 2015-2016. The Ohio Athletic Conference champion and two-event school record-holder hopes to earn his third varsity letter.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Jacob is a Dean's List student.

ATHLETIC HONORS:  As a freshman in 2013-2014, Jacob earned All-OAC honors in the 1650-yard freestyle (OAC champion) and 400-yard individual medley (third). He also was the OAC Men's Swimmer of the Week on November 4, 2013. He earned his second OAC Men's Swimmer of the Week award on February 3, 2014.

OAC CHAMPION:  As a freshman in 2013-2014, Jacob won the OAC title in the 1650-yard freestyle (16:25.81). As a junior in 2015-16, he won the OAC title in the 1650-yard freestyle with Burk was the individual champion in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 16:38.81. 

SCHOOL RECORDS:  As a freshman in 2013-2014, Jacob set school records in the 1000-yard freestyle (9:55.51 split during the 1650-yard free at the OAC Championship Meet) and in the 1650 free (16:25.81 at the OAC Championship Meet).

GENERAL SWIMMING INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2013-2014, Jacob competed in his first year of swimming and earned his first varsity letter. He won one OAC individual title (1650-yard freestyle), earned All-OAC honors in two events (400-yard IM and 1650-yard freestyles), set two school records (1000 and 1650-yard freestyles) and twice was named as the OAC Men's Swimmer of the Week.

As a sophmore in 2014-15, Jacob competeed in his first year of swimming and diving and earned his second varsity letter. Jacob set new career times in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.24 and in the 500-yard freestyle crossing the finish line in 4:49.85.

As a junior in 2015-2016, Jacob is competed in his third season of swimming and hopes to earned his third varsity letter. Jacob won his first career OAC title with a season-best time of 16:38.81 in the 1,650-yard freestyle event at the 2016 OAC swimming and Diving Championships on February 20. Burk also recorded career-best times in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.29), 200-yard butterfly (2:11.65), 200-yard butterfly (2:11.65), and 400-yard individual medley (4:11.89).

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   Jacob Burk grew up in Bowling Green, Ohio and graduated from Bowling Green High School.

Jacob competed in swimming for four years and earned four varsity letters. He also served as a co-captain as a senior.
