Men's Swimming and Diving Opens Florida Trip in 2016 Sarasota Quad Relay Invite

SARASOTA, Fla. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving teams competed in the non-scored 2016 Sarasota Quad Relay Invite against Division I Washington (Wash.) University, Kenyon University, and Transylvania University inside of the Lido Beach Pool in Sarasota, Florida on Sunday morning. 

The men were led by All-OAC sophomore swimmer Tyler Thompson (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Hts.), junior Taylor Elgart (Shaker Heights), All-OAC junior swimmer Jacob Burk (Bowling Green), and senior Sean Rudolph Jr. (Warrensville Heights) for their third place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke relay in a time of 2:27.53.

Rudolph, senior freestyler Henry Hammond (Cleveland Heights), senior Nathan Onchuck (Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South), and Thompson added a fourth place finish in 200-yard butterfly relay in a time of 2:04.28. Freshman swimmer Tyler Allison (Napoleon), freshman John Beyer (Columbus/Centennial), freshman  freestyler Alexander Morrow (Winchester, Va.), and Onchuck combined for another fourth place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a wall touch at the 1:57.28 mark. 

BW is back in action on Sunday, January 10 when they travel to Sarasota, Florida for the Sarasota Sprint Spectacular at 9 a.m.
