BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Henry Hammond is competing in his fourth season of swimming and diving at Baldwin Wallace University. He hopes to earn his fourth varsity letter.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Henry is a Dean's List student. 

GENERAL SWIMMING AND DIVING INFORMATION:    As a freshman in 2012- 2013, Henry competed in his first season of swimming and diving and earned his first varsity letter. He recorded career-bests in the 100-yard freestyle (56.85 seconds), 50-yard butterfly (29.20 seconds) and 100-yard fly (1:02.69).

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Henry competed in his second season of swimming and diving and earned his second letter. He had career-bests in the 50-yard freestyle (24.77 seconds), 200-yard free (2:14.72) and 500-yard free (6:47.42).

As a junior in 2014-2015, Henry earned his third varsity letter and broke personal records in the 50-yard butterfly (28.63) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:04.57).

As a senior in 2015-2016, Henry earned his fourth varsity letter. He recorded career-best times in the 50-yard freestyle (24.31), 100-yard freestyle (53.25), and 200-yard freestyle at the 2016 OAC Championships.

OTHER GROUPS & ORGANIZATIONS:  Henry is a member of the Pre-Med Society and Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and participates in Midnight Madness.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Henry Hammond grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and graduated from Cleveland Heights High School.

He competed in swimming for four years and earned four varsity letters.  He played two years of baseball (freshman and sophomore years), but did not letter.

Henry had high school bests of 27.0 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle, 28.0 seconds in the 50-yard butterfly, 1:08 in the 100 fly, 59 seconds in the 100 free and 2:08 in the 200 free.

Academically, Henry was a Scholar-Athlete and a member of both the National Honors Society and Honor Roll.
