Badia and Taylor Named Academic All-OAC in Baseball

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University senior outfielder John Taylor (Stow/Hudson) and sophomore second baseman Spencer Badia (Bellaire) have been named to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

Taylor and Badia are two of the of the 34 BW spring sports student-athletes named as Academic All-OAC.

In order to be selected as Academic All-OAC, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be in residence at the school for at least a year and maintain varsity status.

Taylor, a four-year letterwinner, earns his third career Academic All-OAC accolade.  He is an accounting major that carries a 3.93 grade point average.  Taylor is one of six of the total 34 spring student-athletes to garner his third spring academic accolade.  He is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar.  Taylor is a member of Alpha Lambda, Chi Sigma Alpha and Dayton C. Miller honor societies. He was awarded the Guy Fisher Award as the baseball team's top student-athlete as a junior.

Badia, a two-year letterwinner, garners his first Academic All-OAC honor.  He is a pre-physical therapy major that carries a perfect 4.00 grade point average.   Badia was one of two perfect GPAs among the spring student-athletes to be recognized.  He is a Dean's List student and a member of Alpha Lambda Honor society.
