BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  John Taylor played four seasons of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University and earned four varsity letters.

John received multiple individual honors and was a member of the winningest senior class in school history, helped BW reach its first-ever NCAA Division III College Baseball World Series in 2014 and advance to the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Game in both 2014 and 2016.

ACADEMIC HONORS: John carried a 3.902 undergraduate grade point average and carries a 4.0 grade average after two semesters in BW's 3:2 Masters of Accounting Program.

John is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. He also is a member of Alpha Lambda, Chi Sigma Alpha, and the Dayton C. Miller honor societies.

THREE-TIME ACADEMIC ALL-OAC PICK: As a sophomore, junior and senior, John earned Academic All-OAC honors.

GUY FISHER AWARD:  As a junior in 2014-2015 and senior in 2015-2016, John received the Guy Fisher Award, symbolic of the baseball team's top student-athlete.

OVERALL CAREER:   John played four years of baseball and earned four varsity letters. He was a key centerfielder on the winningest senior class in school history that compiled a 111-65 record, appeared in three OAC tournaments, two OAC championship games, two NCAA Division III national tournaments, including winning the 2014 Mid-Atlantic Region title and earning the school's first-ever berth in the Division III College World Series.

Individually, John was outstanding both in the classroom and was a three-time All-OAC pick and the 2015 Guy Fisher Award winner.

Individually, John played in 155 career games and batted .281 (102-for-363) with 66 runs scored, eight doubles, one triple, 43 runs batted-in (RBI) and stole 18 bases in 25 attempts for 72 percent.

THROUGH-THE-YEARS:  a freshman in 2012-2013, John played his first year of baseball and earned his first varsity letter.  He appeared in 31 games, including six starts, and batted .237 (9-for-38) with six runs scored, one triple, four runs batted-in (RBI) and two stolen bases in three attempts. BW tied the single-season school-record for wins and finished 27-13 overall.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, John played his second season of baseball and earned his second letter. He appeared in 45 games, including 38 starts, and batted .269 (32-for-119) with 16 runs scored, four doubles and 12 RBI. He was 7-for-10 in stolen base attempts. John helped BW set a single-season school-record with 30 wins, compile a 30-20 record, placed second at the OAC Tournament, win the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament and advance to the school's first-ever College World Series.

As a junior in 2014-2015, John played his third season of baseball and earned his third letter. He split time as the starter in center field. He played in 39 games, includimng 30 starts, and batted a career-high .347 (33-for-95) with 23 runs scored, three doubles, 19 RBI and seven stolen bases in nine attempts. He earned Academic All-OAC honors for the second straight year. BW finished with a school-record 31 victories and a 31-12 record. The Yellow Jackets finished fourth at the OAC Tournament and advanced to their second straight NCAA Division III Regional Tournament.

As a senior in 2015-2016, John played his fourth season of baseball and earned his fourth varsity letter and third straight selection to the Academic All-OAC squad. John received the Guy Fisher Award, symbolic of the baseball team's top student-athlete. He played in 40 games, including 32 starts, and batted .243 (27-for-111) with 21 runs scored, one double, eight RBI and two steals. BW finished 23-20 overall, tied for second in the OAC at 13-5 and advanced to the 2016 OAC Championship Game.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: John Taylor grew up in Stow, Ohio and graduated from Hudson High School.

John played four years of baseball and earned two varsity letters.

As a senior, John earned All-Northeast Ohio Conference honors and led Hudson H.S. to the NOC and District titles.

Academically, John was a NOC Scholar-Athlete award-winner all four years.
