ACADEMIC MAJOR: Business Administration and Sports Management

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION : Jerry Scholle played four seasons of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University and earned four varsity letters. He was a key varsity player for four years and appeared in 118 career contests.

SCHOLLE'S BASEBALL LEGACY:  Jerry  and the BW senior class of 2016 graduates with a 111-65 record, three OAC Tournament appearances, including advancing to the OAC Championship Game twice, two NCAA Division III National Tournament appearances, including winning one Regional title (Mid-Atlantioc Region inn 2014) and one NCAA Division III College World Series appearance (2014).

CAREER SYNOPSIS:  Jerry played in 118 contests and compiled a .267 batting average (58 for 217) with 52 runs scored, 12 doubles, one triple, one home run, 27 runs batted-in (RBI) and stole 28 bases in 33 attempts. He also was a solid outfielder on defense.

THROUGH-THE-YEARS:  As a freshman in 2012-2013, Jerry was a key contributor on the varsity. He played in 23 contests and started 12 as a utility outfielder. Jerry batted .282 (11-for-39) with nine runs scored, two doubles, six runs batted-in (RBI) and three stolen bases in four attempts. He had a perfect 1.000 fielding average (21 attempts) with a pair of assists. Jerry helped the Yellow Jackets win 27 games and compile a 27-13 overall record.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Jerry played in his second season of baseball and earn his second varsity letter. He appeared in 33 games, including 23 starts in the outfield. Jerry had 26 hits, 21 runs scored, six doubles, 11 RBI, and a .306 batting average. Jerry also had 18 stolen bases and a .920 fielding percentage. He helped BW to win a single-season school-record 30 games, compile a 30-20 record, win the Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional and advance to the school's first-ever Division III World Series.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Jerry played his third season of baseball and earned his third letter. He split time in the outfield. Jerry played in 32 games, including 17 starts, and batted .250 (16-for-64) with 19 runs scored, four doubles, one triple, one home run, nine RBI and three stiolen bases in five attempts. He also was perfect in 26 chances in the field. BW finished with a school-record 31 victories and a 31-12 record. The Yellow Jackets finished fourth at the OAC Tournament and advanced to their second straight NCAA Division III Regional Tournament.

As a senior in 2015-2016, Jerry played his fourth season of baseball and earned his fourth letter. He played in 26 games, including three starts, and batted .172 (5 for 29) with one RBI and 10 stolen bases in 11 attempts. BW finished 23-20 overall record, tied for second in the OAC with a 13-5 mark and advanced to the OAC Championship Game.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Jerry Scholle grew up in Hinckley, Ohio and graduated from Medina Highland High School. He played four years of baseball and lettered four times. Jerry also played football for four years earning three varsity letters, and basketball for two years earning one letter.

In baseball as a senior, Jerry was named as a Northeast Ohio Conference first team performer. Following his junior season in football, he was an All-State selection.

JERRY ALSO PLAYED FOOTBALL:  As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Jerry played his only season of football, earned a varsity letter and started several games in the defensive secondary. He was credited with making 22 tackles, including 11 solo stops, had four total pass breakups, including two interceptions (46 return yards). BW finished 6-4 overall.

Jerry did not play football as a freshman, junior or senior.
