Two Women's Volleyball Student-Athletes Earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Baldwin Wallace University senior Academic All-OAC middle hitter Isa Luciano (Willoughby/South) and sophomore right side hitter Allison Weiner (Westerville/St. Francis DeSales) of the women's volleyball team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) All-District team.

Earning her first CSC accolade, Luciano appeared in all 24 matches this past season for the Yellow Jackets and played in 84 sets. She led the team in blocking, tallying a career-high 69 total blocks (16 solo blocks). Luciano totaled 126 kills on the year, and added 35 digs, 17 service aces, and five assists.

In her career, Luciano has tallied 532 kills, 189 total blocks, 151 digs, 70 aces, 14 assists, and earned four varsity letters. Off the court, Luciano is an adolescent/young adult education and English double major and carries a 3.810 grade point average. She is also a three-time Academic All-OAC honoree, a Jacket Scholar, and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma honors society. 

Also earning her first CSC honor, Weiner appeared in 19 matches and 58 sets for BW this fall. She totaled 124 kills, averaging 2.14 kills per set. Weiner also posted 31 digs and 10 total blocks, earning her second varsity letter. In her career, she has totaled 302 kills, 69 digs, and 23 total digs. Off the court, Weiner is a public health major and carries a 3.973 public health major and is a dean's list student. 

The women's volleyball team ended the 2022 season with an overall record of 13-11.
