BEREA, Ohio— The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team beat Marietta College in an Ohio Athletic Conference match by a final score of 2-1 at George Finne Stadium on seniors' day.

Marietta (1-5-2, 1-5-2 OAC) got out to a fast start when freshmen midfielder Lydia Vach scored at the 3:21 mark for the lone goal of the half. BW found themselves trailing after one despite leading in shots by a margin of 6-1.

Baldwin Wallace (4-4, 4-4 OAC) was able to knot it up in the second half when senior midfielder Kenna Stones (Dresden / Tri-Valley) found the back of the net off a corner kick from freshmen defender Anna Wolfinger (Wadsworth). The match headed to overtime as neither team could gain the advantage.

The overtime period was tightly contested. The Yellow Jackets were able to gain the edge at the 97:11 mark when senior forward Alex Guido (Macomb, Mich. / Eisenhower) buried a goal to win the game.

In the goal for the Yellow Jackets, sophomore goalkeeper Maddie Hofmann (Olmsted Township/Olmsted Falls) allowed one goal on two shots and made one save.

With the win Baldwin Wallace clinches a spot in the OAC tournament.  The Yellow Jackets will travel to Columbus to take on Capital University in the conference quarterfinals.
