BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team under the direction of second-year coach Andrew Edgar is ready to hit the links after COVID-19 ended its 2020 spring and fall season.

Edgar returns three Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference performers.  The team will feature three seniors, three juniors, one sophomore and three freshmen.

Highlighting the returners is senior two-time Academic All-OAC performer Anna Schatschneider (Avon) as she returns as the reigning team leader in stroke average with a career-best 82.50 average. Schatschneider shot a career-low round score of 78 as a medalist at the Mount Union Fall Invitational.

In addition, junior Kelly Linnabary (Westerville/Central), senior Academic All-OAC performer Rachael Sladky (North Olmsted) and junior Leah Metzger (Ashland) bring veteran leadership to the starting lineup. Linnabary finished second on team with a career-best 90.40 stroke average. Sladky fired a career-low 92.10 average a season ago. Metzger posted an average of 92, including a career-low round score of 82 at the BW Invitational.

Looking to jump into the starting five are senior Academic All-OAC selection Aubrey Baumler (Huron),  junior Mary Fraley (Cleveland/Mayfield), sophomore Kaitlynn Olak (Norwalk/St. Paul) and freshmen Morgan Briley (Brunswick), Megan Seitz (Columbia Station/Columbia) and Chloe Thomas (Norwalk).

BW begins its season on Monday, March 22 when it travels to Alliance to compete in the University of Mount Union Spring Fling at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.
