Schatchneider and Linnabary Co-Medalists, Women's Golf Wins John Carroll Spring Invitational

HUDSON, Ohio --  Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC performer Anna Schatschneider (Avon) and junior Kelly Linnabary (Westerville/Central) were co-medalists as the Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team won the John Carroll University Spring Invitational at the Country Club of Hudson.

BW was the champion with 356 strokes on the par-72 and 6,044-yard Country Club of Hudson layout.

Schatschneider, who earns her third career medalist honor, and Linnabary, who garners her first career medalist, led the way with identical rounds of 84. Junior Leah Metzger (Ashland) fired a round of 92. Senior Academic All-OAC selection Rachael Sladky (North Olmsted) tallied a round of 96.  Rounding out the top five was senior Academic All-OAC golfer Aubrey Baumler (Huron) as she had a round of 104.

Sophomore Kaitlynn Olak (Norwalk/St. Paul) competed individually and posted a round of 108.

The Yellow Jackets warp up their season on on Friday, April 30 through May 2 when they travel to West Lafayette to compete in the OAC Championships hosted by the Univesity of Mount Union at the River Greens Golf Course.
