Women’s Golf Finishes in Third Place at OAC Championships

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team wrapped up its 2021 season with a third-place finish at the three-day Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by the University of Mount Union at the River Greens Golf Course.

The top fourteen individual scorers at the OAC Championships receive All-OAC honors. 

BW finished third of eight teams with 1,099 strokes on the par-73 and 5,811-yard River Greens layout.  Ohio Northern University was the champion with 990 strokes.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior Anna Schatschneider (Avon) as sh earned her second All-OAC accolade with a seventh place finish.  Schatschneider fired rounds of 85, 89, and 87 for a total of 261. Senior Academic All-OAC performer Rachael Sladky carded rounds of 90, 94, and 92 for a three-day total of 276. Junior Leah Metzger (Ashland) posted rounds of 92, 92, and 95 for a total of 279.  Junior Kelly Linnabary (Westerville/Central) shot rounds of 94, 92, and 97 for a total of 283.  Rounding out BW's OAC Championship roster was senior Academic All-OAC performer Aubrey Baumler (Huron) as she had rounds of 111, 109, and a season-low 107 for a total of 327.
