Women's Golf Runner-Up at John Carroll Spring Shootout

HUDSON, Ohio  The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team was the runner-up at the John Carroll University Spirng Shootout at the Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club

BW was second of three teams with a total of 374 strokes on the par-71 and 6,003 yard Ellsworth Meadows layout.  Mount Union University was the champion with 355 strokes.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior All-Ohio Athletic C and Academic All-OAC performer Anna Schatschneider (Avon) and junior Kelly Linnabary (Westerville/Central) as as the duo each carded a round of 91.  Senior Academic All-OAC golfer Rachael Sladky (North Olmsted) posted a round of 94.  Junior Leah Metzger (Ashland) tallied a round of 98.  Round out the top five was sophomore Kaitlynn Olak (Norwalk/St. Paul) as she had a career-best round of 107. 

Competing as individuals were junior Mary Fraley (Cleveland/Mayfield) and freshman Chloe Thomas (Norwalk).  Fraley led the individuals with a round of 122.  Thomas had a round of 127.

BW is back in action on Monday, April 19 when it travels back to Hudson to compete in the John Carroll University Spring Invitational at the Country Club of Hudson.   The Yellow Jackets close out the season on Friday, April 30 through May 2 when they travel to West Lafayette to compete in the OAC Championships hosted by Mount Union at the River Greens Golf Course.
