BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University junior guard Janaya Feaster (Akron/Archbishop Hoban) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Week for her efforts in two Yellow Jacket victories last week.
Feaster, who earns her first career OAC
weekly honor, scored 30 points off the bench to help BW stretch its
winning streak to five straight and nine of its last 10
games. She recorded a career-high 17 points in a 57-55
home victory against Heidelberg University and then ended the week
13 points in an upset 69-64 victory at first place Ohio
Northern.
Last week, Feaster shot 64.7 percent from the field (11-of-17), including 75 percent from three-point land (3-of-4). She was 5-of-7 (.714) from the foul line and had three rebounds, four assists, five steals and one block.
This season, Feaster is scoring 5.9 points-per-game and averages 2.5 rebounds-per-contest. She has 17 assists, 21 steals and two blocks.
For her career, Feaster has scored 264 points, grabbed 122 rebounds and has 103 assists, 66 steals and eight blocks.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, January 21 when they a firsr place OAC battle against cross-town rival John Carroll University in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center at 7:30 p.m.
