Men's Cross Country Begins 2019 Season at Unscored Wooster Invitational

WOOSTER, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country opened the 2019 season at the unscored annual College of Wooster Invitational, on the L.C. Boles Memorial Golf Course.

In the 4-mile event, senior All-OAC runner Isaac Wilson (Tylersburg, Pa./North Clarion) was the top BW finisher as he placed 7th in 21:46.3. Freshman Kyle White (Mount Gilead), making his collegiate running debut, finished in 19th place with a final time of 23:01.0. White was subsequently followed by sophomore teammate David Prather (Hardin, Mont.), who came in 20th place with a career-best time of 23:10.7. Rounding out the top five runners for the Yellow Jackets were freshmen Zach Justus (Maineville/Kings) and Hunter Evans (Milford/Archbishop McNicholas), who ran for 39th and 40th place, respectively. Justus had a final time of 24:26.7 and Evans completed the race in 24:29.3 in their first ever college performances.

BW will return to the race course on Saturday, September 7, to compete in the Tommy Evans Invitational, hosted by the University of Akron at the Silver Creek Metro Park Cross Country Trails in Norton, Ohio, where the Yellow Jackets will compete against many local Division I teams.
