Two Men's Cross Country Student-Athletes Attain Academic All-OAC Awards

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Two Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country student-athletes have landed on the 2019 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, appeared in at least one varsity contest, and maintains a 3.5 minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA).

Senior Isaac Wilson (Tylersburg, Pa./North Clarion), and sophomore David Prather (Hardin, Mont.) are two of 57 Yellow Jacket student-athletes to be recognized this fall.

Wilson, who earns his third consecutive Academic All-OAC honor, is an exercise science major who carries a 3.668 GPA. He is a Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar. Athletically, the three-year letterwinner has earned two career All-Ohio honors, and one career All-OAC honor. Wilson has also garnered career-best times of 19:13.8 in the 5k (2016), 19:34.2 in the 6k (2017), 20:49.3 in the 4-mile (2018), and 25:37.4 in the 8k (2018).

Prather, who earns his first Academic All-OAC honor, is a neuroscience and chemistry double major who sports a 3.512 GPA. The Dean's List Student has also achieved career-best times of 18:35.0 in the 5k (2018), 23:10.7 in the 4-mile (2019) and 27:16.2 in the 8k (2019).
