Men's Cross Country Finishes Sixth at Tommy Evans Invitational

NORTON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team competed in the 51st Annual Tommy Evans Invitational, hosted by the University of Akron on the Silver Creek Metro Park Cross Country Trails.

In a 3.88-mile event that was composed entirely of Division I and II schools, BW managed to place sixth out of seven teams, scoring 177 points. The host team Akron took home the team title with 33 points.

For the second consecutive race, senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Isaac Wilson (Tylersberg, Pa./North Clarion) led the way for the Yellow Jackets as he placed 27th, finishing in 20:52.6. The next three BW runners finished within a 12-second span of each other as juniors Jose Reynoso (Painesville/Harvey) and Spencer Roberts (West Seneca, N.Y./West), as well as sophomore David Prather (Hardin, Mont.) completed the race in 21:33.1, 21:41.7, and 21:45.2, placing 40th, 46th, and 47th, respectively. Freshman Kyle White (Mount Gilead) rounded out the top five runners for the Yellow Jackets as he placed 58th with a final time of 22:21.5.

BW will return to the racecourse on Saturday, September 28 when they travel to Cedarville to compete in the All-Ohio Championships on the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course, hosted by Cedarville University.
