Men's Cross Country Finishes 23rd at Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble, Four of Top Five Earn Career-Best Times

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team competed in the Inter-Regional Rumble, hosted by Oberlin College on the Oberlin College Cross Country Course. Four of BW's top five finishers earned career-best times.

In an eight-kilometer event that was composed entirely of NCAA Division III schools, BW managed to place 23rd out of 39 teams, scoring 584 points. Berea (Ky.) College took won the team title with 75 points.

For the fourth race this season, senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Isaac Wilson (Tylersburg, Pa./North Clarion) was the top runner for the Yellow Jackets as he placed 70th, in 25:53.2. Junior Spencer Roberts (West Seneca, N.Y./West) was the next runner to cross the finish line for BW as he placed 79th, in a career-best 25:58.4. Juniors Jose Reynoso (Painesville/Harvey) and Andrew Krupp (Ottawa Hills) also earned career-best times as they placed 103rd and 121st, in 26:13.2 and 26:24.2, respectively. Rounding out the top five runners for the Yellow Jackets was freshman Zack Justus (Maineville/Kings) who finished in 254th place in a career-best 27:47.5.

The Yellow Jackets will return to the racecourse on Saturday, November 2 when they travel to nearby Gates Mills to compete Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by crosstown rival John Carroll University.
