BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's Track and Field team were fourth at the 2015 Cleveland Colleges Championship Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center.
The BW mens team placed fourth of four teams and scored 105.5 points.
The men were led by junior thrower Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/Riverside) who placed first in the weight throw with a toss of 57' 2.75''. Burdoff also placed first in shot put with a throw of 48' 11.50''. Placing first in the 55-meter dash was Ben Beidelman (Washington, D.C. / St. Anselm's Abbey) in a time of 6.55 seconds. Senior Isaac Baker (Lithia, Fla. / Newsome) placed first in the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.12 seconds.
In addition for the men, senior jumper Wesley Wilson (Uniontown/Lake) placed second overall in the long jump leaping a distance of 20' 9'' and junior jumper Sammy Ibrahim (North Olmsted) finished tied for third with a distance of 20' 5.25''. Placing third in the 1-mile run was sophomore Brady Jeffers (South Amherst / Firelands) in a time of 4:41.28. Placing second in pole vault was senior Brandon Eddy (Cuyahoga Heights) clearing a height of 14' 11'' and freshman Kyle Hutchinson (Medina) placed third clearing a jump of 14' 5.25''.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action tomorrow, Saturday, February 21 when select individuals will compete in the Kent State University Tune-Up Meet at 11 a.m. The 2015 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Meet is on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27-28 at Capital University.
