BW Men Finish Second at Sparky Adams Meet

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field team placed second at the 2015 Paul "Sparky" Adams Meet at the George Finnie Stadium.

The BW men scored 143 points and ranked second of eight schools.

The men were led by senior All-American decathlete Brandon Eddy (Cuyahoga Heights) who won the high jump with a leap of 6'2.75" and the pole vault with a season-best vault of 15'0". Junior multiple NCAA Div. III national qualifier Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/ Riverside) won the hammer throw with a toss of 179'9" and placed second in the shot put with a throw of 50'10" and second in the discus with a throw of 142'5". Sophomore Troy Robinson (Akron/ Garfield) won the 200-meter dash in 22.16 seconds and was second in the 100-meters in 11.03 seconds.

Also, senior Ryan Weir (Lodi/ Cloverleaf) was second in the 400-meter hurdles in a season-best time of 58.35 seconds, senior Isaac Baker (Lithia, Fla./ Newsome) was second in the 200-meter dash in a season-best time of 22.38 seconds, freshman Kyle Hutchinson (Medina) was second in the pole vault with a season-best-tying vault of 14'0" and senior Wesley Wilson (Uniontown Lake) was second in the javelin with a season-best throw of 158'11". 
 
BW is back in action next Friday and Saturday, April 24-25 when the Yellow Jackets travel to Alliance to compete at the 2015 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Meet, hosted by the University of Mount Union, at Mount Union Stadium. Action begins at 12 noon on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.
