Burdorff Leads Yellow Jacket Men's Track to Seventh Place Finish at All-Ohio Championships

WESTERVILLE, Ohio –  Junior thrower Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/Riverside) was an individual champion and a runner-up as the Baldwin Wallace University men's track team finished seventh of 18 teams with 39 points at the 2015 All-Ohio Division III Championships hosted by Otterbein University in the Clements Recreation Center.  

The top three individuals in each event and the top three-relay team earn All-Ohio honors.

Burdorff was the All-Ohio Champion in the weight throw and took second in the shot put.  He won the weight throw with a career-best throw of 58'10.75" and had a career-best toss of 51'0.75" in the shot put.    Burdorff's mark in the weight throw is 12th in the nation.

In addition to Burdorff, junior All-American sprinter Ben Beidleman (Washington, D.C. / St. Anselm's Abbey) placed third in the 200-meter dash in a career-best time of. 22.42.   The 4x200 meter-relay team of sophomore Troy Robinson (Akron / Garfield), freshman Theodore Washington (Orlando, Fla. / First Academy), senior Isaac Baker (Lithia, Fla./Newsome) and Ben Beidleman took third in a season-best time of 1:30.54
 
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, February 20 when they host the annual Greater Cleveland Colleges Championship Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse. Field events begin at 4:00 p.m. BW then travels to Kent on Saturday, February 21 to compete in the Kent State University Tune-Up Meet at 11 a.m.
