ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Pre-Engineering (Chemical) or Broadcast Journalism

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Anton Richardson played his third season of football at Baldwin Wallace University in 2016-2017. The junior started several games at defensive tackle and was a key member on the defensive line.

CENTER FOR INNOVATION & GROWTH:   Anton will serve as a 2017 summer intern at the BW Center for Innovation & Growth.

THROUGH-THE-YEARS:  As a freshman in 2014-2015, Anton played his first season of football and received a certificate of participation. He saw all of his action at the junior varsity level. BW finished 5-5 overall.

As a sophomore in 2015-2016, Anton played his second season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He saw playing time in the varsity rotation on the defensive line. Anton was credited with making 11 tackles, including one quarterback sack. BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a junior in 2016-2017, Anton played his third season of football and earned his second varsity letter. He started several games at DT and was a key member on the defensive line. Anton played in nine of 10 games and made 25 tackles, including 3.5 for loss (18 yards) and one QB sack. He also deflected a pass and recovered a fumble. BW finished 3-7 overall.

OTHER GROUPS & ORGANIZATIONS:  Anton is a feature story writer in the sports information office. He also volunteers time with the Special Olympics.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   Anton Richardson grew up in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Gordon Tech.

Anton played football for four years and earned three varsity letters. He also played basketball for two years.

In football, Anton was All-Chicago Catholic League and a Gordon Tech team captain. He also received the Michael Cericleand the Gordon Tech Leadership awards.
