ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Sport Management

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Zach Poudrier played his second season of football at Baldwin Wallace University in 2016-2017. He earned his first varsity letter and started several games as a member of the linebacking rotation.

ACADEMIC SUCCESS:  Zach carries a 3.45 grade point average, is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar.

THROUGH-THE-YEARS:  As a freshman in 2015-2016, Zach played his first season of football and received a certificate of participation. He split playing time between the varsity and junior varsity teams at linebacker. BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a sophomore in 2016-2017, Zach played his second season of football and earned his first varsity letter. Zach backed up senior Brian Stepp '17 at middle linebacker and saw action on special teams. He finished sixth on the team with 37 tackles, including a career-high 10 versus Heidelberg University on November 5, 2016. He also had an interception and a tackle for loss. BW finished 3-7 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Zach Poudrier grew up in Penfield, New York and graduated from McQuaid Jesuit High School in Rochester, N.Y. He is the son of Marc Poudrier of Penfield and Kim Ferrauilo.

Zach played football and lacrosse and wrestled. He earned a total of eight varsity letters, including three each in football and wrestling and two in lacrosse. He was the 2014 McQuaid Football Knight of the Year, received the 2015 U.S. Marine Corp Distinguished Athlete Award and received the Father Wroblewski Wrestling Award

In football, Zach was a three-year starter and a team captain. He was named as the 2014 Rochester City Athletic Conference (RCAC) Defensive Player of the Year, twice earned All-RCAC honors and was twice selected honorable mention All-Greater Rochester. Zach also played in the 2015 Eddie Meath All-Star Game.

In wrestling, Zach earned three letters, was a team captain as a junior and senior and twice was selected as the McQuaid Jesuit Most Valuable Wrestler. He also was a three-time RCAC champion, a three-time New York State Sectional placewinner and three times was tabbed honorable mention All-Greater Rochester.

In lacrosse, Zach played two seasons and was a face-off specialist.

Academically, Zach received an academic letter and a letter in Choral, and was a member of the Honor Roll.
