O’Rourke Named OAC Football Offensive Player-of-the-Week

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College junior quarterback Ryan O'Rourke (Avon) has been named as Ohio Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player-of-the-Week for his performance during last Saturday's (September 17, 2011) 35-20 home and OAC-opener victory against Heidelberg University.  This is the second time in O'Rourke's career that  he has earned the weekly honor.

O'Rourke completed 24 of 29 passes for 279 yards and three touchdowns.  He threw TD passes of four yards to freshman running back Willie Jackson (Citrus Springs, Fla. / Crystal River), seven yards to senior wide receiver Troy Van Meter (Gahanna/ Westerville North) and 14 yards to sophomore wide receiver Josiah Holt (Elyria/ Grafton Midview).   

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 24 when they host Capital University for the 31st Annual Lee Tressel Shrine Classic game at the George Finnie Stadium at 1:30 p.m.  Partial gate proceeds from this game will go to benefit children who suffer severe burns and injuries caused by fire.
