Grassi ’15 Named Assistant Athletic Trainer

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University Head Athletic Trainer Tricia Hamad has announced the addition of Adam Grassi '15 as an athletic trainer. Grassi becomes the seventh alumni to provide athletic training or medical services to the BW student-athlete.

He will serve as the athletic trainer for junior varsity football, swimming and diving and track and field.

Grassi comes to back to his alma mater after serving the past five years as an outreach athletic trainer at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.  Prior to Ohio State, he served as a part-time athletic trainer for the Yellow Jackets and for St. Ignatius High School.  Grassi also was an athletic trainer intern for the Ohio Aviators of the Professional Rugby Organization.

While at BW, the Old Brooklyn native earned a Bachelor of Science in athletic training and exercise science.  He was the founder, president and team captain of the rugby club team.

Grassi is a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association, National Strength and Conditioning Association and USA Rugby.
