Men’s Soccer and Tennis Alumnus Beaton’ 13 Named Jamestown (N.Y. ) Community College Women’s Soccer Coach

JAMESTOWN, N.Y.   – Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer and tennis alumnus Tyler Beaton '13 has been named as the Interim Women's Soccer Head Coach at Jamestown Community College.

Beaton joins the women's program after serving the past three seasons as an assistant coach with the Jayhawks men's soccer team.

"This is a huge honor," said Beaton. "This was not something I was not expecting to happen, but it was a natural fit and good timing for JCC and myself."

During his three season with the men's soccer team, Beaton worked strictly with the goalkeepers but assisted more with the game planning a season ago.  He and the Jayhawks posted a record of 21-29-8 in his three seasons, including a 12-6-3 mark in 2019, which was the best since the 2013 season.

While at BW,  Beaton was a three-year letterwinner in soccer and a two-year lettermen in tennis.  He appeared in 28 career games on the pitch and posted a record of 10-11-2 with 135 saves.   On the court, Beaton has a career mark of 48-5 in singles action and a record of 39-7 in doubles play.

The Bemus Point, N.Y. native graduated from BW with a Bachelor of Arts in health promotions and physical education.
