BEREA, Ohio-- Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference defensive specialist/libero Arlayna Newcomer (Norwalk/St. Paul) earned her second straight Academic All-OAC honor. 

In order to be selected as Academic All-OAC a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cummulative grade point average and maintain varsity status.

Newcomer is one of 16 fall sports student-athletes to earn the honor and one of seven to be a repeat selection.  She is the lone representative on the volleyball team.

Newcomer, who carries a 3.61 grade point average in business administration, appeared in 29 of 30 matches this season.   She was third on the team in digs with 275 and fifth in service aces with 21.

For her career, Newcomer has appeared in 83 matches and has 1,223 digs, 96 services aces and 50 assists.
