Complete USTFCCCA All-Region Selections

NEW ORLEANS – Three members of the Baldwin Wallace University women's outdoor track and field team have earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lakes Region honors.

Sophomore All-OAC distance runner Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) garnered her first career Outdoor USTFCCCA All-Region honor in the 800-meter run. Two sophomore All-OAC throwers in Brooke Buckhannon (Collins/Western Reserve) and Jillian Roberts (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) each earned their first Outdoor All-Great Lakes Region accolade. Buckhannon's honor came in the hammer throw while Roberts's came in the shot put.

Brennan earns her first Outdoor All-Region selection after three separate honors in the indoor season. This season, she was a member of the OAC Champion 4x800-meter relay team and also finished as the runner-up in the 1,500-meter run in a career-best time of 4:37.02. Brennan's best performance came in the 800-meter run, however, when she turned in a school-record time of 2:10.05 at the Harrison Dillard Twilight and punched her ticket to the Division III National Championships.

Buckhannon garners her first career Outdoor USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes honor with her performance in the hammer throw this season. The sophomore hit a career-best mark of 165'8" at the Division III All-Ohio Championships, which earned Buckhannon her first career All-Ohio accolade with a runner-up finish. She was twice named OAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week in back-to-back weeks during the outdoor campaign.

Roberts brings home the first All-Great Lakes Region selection of her career, indoor or outdoor. She threw a career-best 43'9" at the Harrison Dillard Twilight. Roberts also had career-best marks of 122'4" in the discus at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational and 132'0" in the hammer throw at the 49th Sparky Adams Invitational.

Brennan will continue her season at the 2018 NCAA Division III National Championships, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse at the Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. She will run in the 800 preliminaries on Friday with the finals being contested on Saturday, May 26.
