BEREA, Ohio- Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-American distance runner Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District 7 team.

Brennan and the rest of the first-team Academic All-District nominees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America Team ballot, which will be announced in June.

An accounting and finance double major, Brennan carries a 3.98 grade point average and is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar, an Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, a United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic selection and a member of the Alpha Lambda and Chi Alpha Sigma honoraries.

During the 2018 season, the sophomore earned All-America status with a sixth-place finish in the 800-meter run at the NCAA Outdoor Championship. The distance runner broke her own BW outdoor school-record in the 800-meter run and earned All-OAC honors in the 4x800-meter relay (first) and 1,500-meter run (second). After finishing as the champion in the 800-meter run and registering a second place finish in the 1,500-meter run, she received All-Ohio honors. Brennan tabbed an USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region honor in the outdoors 800-meter run and in the indoor 5,000-meter run. On January 22, the OAC recognized her as Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

For her career, Brennan is a four-time All-OAC placer in outdoor events, a three-time All-Ohio honoree, an All-OAC indoor placer and has earned four USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region honors in indoor and outdoor events.

This season, the Baldwin Wallace University women's track and field team finished fifth at the OAC Outdoor and Indoor Championships.
