Three Women's Track and Field Athletes Garner USTFCCCA All-Region Accolades

NEW ORLEANS – Three members of the Baldwin Wallace University omen's indoor track and field team earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lakes Region honors.

Sophomore All-OAC distance runner Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) earned her third career Indoor USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region honor and her first in the 5,000-meter run. Both sophomore All-OAC thrower Brooke Buckhannon (Collins/Western Reserve) and junior All-OAC sprinter Grace Nemeth (Medina) garnered their first All-Great Lakes Region accolades in the shot put and the 200-meter dash, respectively.

Brennan earns her first All-Great Lakes region honor in the 5,000-meter run after her honors in the 800-meter and 1-mile runs last season. She ran a career-best time of 17:35.53 at the Hillsadale "Wide Track" Classic. Brennan also had season-best times of 2:18.83 in the 800-meter run, 5:07.32 in the 1-mile run and 10:33.35 in the 3,000-meter run.

Buckhannon capped off a stellar indoor campaign with her first All-Great Lakes Region selection after earning her first two All-OAC honors with career-best marks in both the weight throw and the shot put. She won the shot put with a toss of 44'3.5" and was the runner up in the weight throw with a 50'7.25" mark.

Nemeth also garners her first All-Great Lakes Region honor after her first All-OAC honor. Nemeth ran a career-best time of 26.11 seconds to finish as the runner-up in the 200-meter dash at the OAC Championships. Nemeth also had season-best and career-best times of 7.53 seconds in the 55-meter dash and 7.99 seconds in the 60-meter dash.
