No. 5 Men’s Wrestling Defeats NCAA Division II Notre Dame College in Final Dual of Season

BEREA, Ohio – The No. 5 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University men's wrestling defeated NCAA Division II Notre Dame College in a non-conference dual by a final score of 42-6 in the Murphy Gymnasium.

BW (15-2) won eight of 10 matches.

  • 125 pounds:    Senior All-American and No. 4 nationally ranked Jacob Decatur (Akron/Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) won a 20-4 technical fall over JaRi Campbell  
  • 133 pounds:    Senior All-American and No. 5 nationally ranked Jaden Hinton (Glassboro, N.J.) won by pinfall in 1:11 over Jake Arnold 
  • 141 pounds:    Freshman Keegan McMahon (Ashburn, Va./Paul IV Catholic) won by forfeit   
  • 149 pounds:    Senior All-American and No. 1 nationally ranked Michael Petrella (Reynoldsburg/Bishop Hartley), who is this week's D3wrestle.com Wrestler of the Week, won by pinfall in 3:19 over Parker Moore
  • 157 pounds:    Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference Tommy West (Avon Lake/St. Edward) won 14-0 major decision over Matthew Kaufmann 
  • 165 pounds:    Freshman Andrew Supers (Medina), who is this week's OAC Men's Wrestler of the Week, won by forfeit   
  • 174 pounds:    Junior Carter Lloyd (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) won a 7-1 decision over Alec Hall   
  • 184 pounds:    Senior Ryan Weitz (Dancille, Pa./North Schuylkill) won by forfeit      
  • 197 pounds:    Senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC Luke Hopkins (Cuyahoga Heights) lost a 13-7 decision ton Kyle Richards or Marvelous Rutledge   
  • 285 pounds:    Freshman Angelo Camargo (Brook Park/St. Ignatius) lost a 10-3 decision to La'Ron Parks 

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Sunday, February 11 when they travel to University Heights to compete in the John Carroll University Open inside the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center at 10:00 a.m.
