UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – Select members of the No. 5 Baldwin Wallace University men's wrestling team competed at the annual unscored John Carroll University Open inside the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center. 

Freshman Noah Creque (Murfreesboro, Tenn. /Siegel) – Second Place Blue Division

  • Won an 7-6 decision over Caleb Wetzel
  • Won a 14-3 major decision over Constantine Gehring of Gannon (Pa.)
  • Lost a 19-3 technical to Brogan Fielding of Spire Academy

Sophomore 174-pounder Remington Bauer (Norwalk/Edison) – Second Place Blue Division

  • Bye in first round
  • Won a 13-4 major decision over Brayden Benson of NCAA Division II Tiffin
  • Won a 2-1 decision over Mathew Gummere of Case Western Reserve
  • Lost a 15-3 major decision to Oliver Byerly of NCAA Division II West Liberty (W. Va.)
  • Won a 4-0 decision over Brayden Benson of NCAA Division II Tiffin
  • Won by pinfall in 2:12 over Derrick Andolsek of NCAA Division I Akron

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, February 17 when they close out the regular season portion of their schedule as they travel to Angola, Indiana to compete in the Mid-States Invitational hosted by Trine University inside the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Inc. Athletic and Recreation Center at 9:30 a.m.
