BW Swim Team Drops First Non-Conference Meet

DELAWARE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving team lost in a non-conference dual meet at Ohio Wesleyan University, 151-86, in the Meek Aquatics and Recreation Center. This was the second dual meet of the 2014-15 and the second in two days.

The BW men were led by freshman Tyler Thompson (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) and senior Bryan Gerber (Sagamore Hills/ Nordonia) who both won individual events. Thompson finished first in 50-yard breaststroke in a time of 28.41 seconds and placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:02.66. Gerber finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:02.53 and second in both the 100-yard individual medley in 58.19 seconds and 200-yard freestyle in 1:53.78.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, November 8 when they travel to Bethany, West Virginia for a tri-match with Bethany College and Penn State Altoona in the John J. Knight Natatorium at 1 p.m. The first home dual meet is on Saturday, November 15 when the team hosts Penn State-Behrend in the BW Natatorium at 1 p.m.
