AKRON, Ohio -- Freshman Tyler Thompson (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) set two school records and earned his first career All-Ohio Athletic Conference honor as the Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving team remain in sixth place after two days of competition at the OAC Championships in the Ocasek Natatorium on the campus of the University of Akron.

The Yellow Jackets are sixth of seven teams with 191 points.

Thompson placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke in a school-record time of 56.59 seconds.  He tied for the fastest qualifying time and first set the school-record in the prelims in a time of 57.44.

In addition, sophomore All-OAC performer Jacob Burk (Bowling Green) placed sixth in the 400-yard individual medley in a career-best time of 4:20.13.  Junior Justin Allison (Napoleon) took eighth in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:01.07.  Allison had a season-best time of 1:00.81 in the prelims.

In relay action, the 200-yard medley team of junior Nathan Onchuck (Darien, Ill. / Hinsdale South), Thompson, junior Sean Rudolph, Jr. (Warrensville Heights) and Allison finished fourth in a season-best time of 1:37.16. The 800-freestyle relay team of senior Bryan Gerber (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia), Burk, junior Henry Hammond (Cleveland Heights) and Rudolph placed sixth in a season-best time of 7:53.56.

BW closes out the OAC Championships on Saturday, February 21 with the prelims at 10 a.m. and the finals at 5:30 p.m.
