Dizonno Garners First Career OAC Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University freshman goalkeeper Mike Dizonno (Buffalo Grove, Ill./ Adalai E. Stevenson) has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defender of the Week.

Dizonno, who garners his first career OAC weekly honor, allowed just six goals in three Yellow Jacket victories last week.   He began his career and season by allowing three goals in 60 minutes with a 9-3 victory against Washington and Jefferson (Pa.) College on Monday, March 9.   Dizonno then picked up his second win of the season and was one of four BW netminders in a 15-3 win against LaRoche (Pa.) College on Wednesday.  He allowed one goal in 36 minutes against the Redhawks.   Dizonno allowed two goals in a 14-2 victory against Hanover (Ind.) College on Saturday.  

In addition, he had a .786 save percentage with 22 saves and four ground balls.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, March 18 when they travel to Oberlin to play a non-conference game against Oberlin College on the Dick Bailey Field inside the Austin E. Knowlton Athletics Complex at 7 p.m.
