Carson Garners Second Career OAC Weekly Accolade

BEREA, Ohio --  Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference men's lacrosse attack Vinny Carson (Cleveland/Benedictine) has been selected as the OAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week.

Carson, who garners his second career OAC weekly accolade, scored eight goals and had two assists in two BW victories last week.   The Yellow Jackets extended their school-record best start to 8-0.

He had four goals and one assist in 14-3 non-conference win against Saint Vincent (Pa.) College in two and one-half quarters of action. Carson had three goals in the first 22-plus minutes to lead BW to a 7-1 lead.

He closed out the week with a game-high tying four goals and added one assist in 12-10 OAC victory against Wilmington College.  Carson scored three of his four goals in the decisive fourth quarter.

After eight games, he tops the team in goals (19), assists (12), points (31), shots (42) and shots on-goal (31).  Carson is BW's career-leader in all five catagories.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, April 8 when they travel to Alliance for an OAC game against the University of Mount Union in Mount Union Stadium at 7:30 p.m.  BW closes the week on Saturday, April 11 when it hosts a non-conference against Franciscan on the Tressek Field at 1 p.m.
