Scott Heisler Joins BW Men’s Lacrosse Coaching Staff

BEREA, Ohio -- Scott Heisler has joined the Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse coaching staff as an assistant coach.

Heisler comes to BW after spending the last two years as a lacrosse development officer and coach for the English Lacrosse Association (ELA.)

In his role with the ELA, Heisler, a native of South Bend, Indiana, served as head men's lacrosse coach at the University of Nottingham in Nottingham, England. During his two years, he coached three teams and guided Nottingham to a school-record point total in the British University College Sports League. Several of his players were selected to regional and national all-star teams.

A 2011 graduate of The College of Wooster with a degree in communication studies, Heisler played four years of defense for the Fighting Scots lacrosse team, including three seasons for current Yellow Jackets Head Coach Jason Tarnow.

After graduating from Wooster, Heisler attended University College Dublin (Ireland) and received a master of science degree in sport and exercise management in December 2012. He played lacrosse for UCD and also competed with the Ireland National Development team at the 2012 European Lacrosse Festival in Amsterdam and at the 2014 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championship Festival in Denver, Colorado. Heisler also played attack for the Nottingham City Club from 2012-2014, led the team and league in scoring in 2013 and helped Nottingham win the league championship and Cup Play title that season.
