BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Vinny Carson played his third season of lacrosse at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. The two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference attacker and OAC Player of the Week earned his third varsity letter.
ATHLETIC HONORS: As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Vinny was named as the OAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week on April 7, 2014. Vinny was also tabbed honorable mention All-OAC.
As a junior in 2014-2015, Vinny earned OAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week honors on April 6, 2015. He was a second-team All-OAC selection.
GENERAL LACROSSE INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2012-2013, Vinny played his first season and lacrosse and earned his first varsity letter. He started all 11 games, took 81 shots, including 32 on goal, scored 18 goals and led the team with 21 assists and 39 points. He also collected 42 ground balls and caused four turovers. Vinny had a season-high three goals and BW single-game record seven assists and 10 points in a 21-12 win against Houghton (N.Y.) College. He collected a career-high eight ground balls against Thiel (Pa.) College on April 24. BW finished 6-5 overall.
As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Vinny played his second season of lacrosse earned his second letter. He started in all 14 games, took 67 shots, including 49 on-goal, led the team with 28 goals, 18 assists and 46 points. He also collected 41 ground balls and caused three turnovers. Vinny had a career-high five goals and added six assists for a school-record 11 points in a 19-2 win versus Calvin (Mich.) College on April 5, 2014. He was subsequently named as the OAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week. He also received honorable mention All-OAC honors. BW finished 7-7 overall.
As a junior in 2014-2015, Vinny played his third season of lacrosse and earned his third letter. He was named as the OAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week on April 6, 2015 after scoring eight goals and adding two assists in wins against Saint Vincent (Pa.) and Wilmington. Vinny played in all 15 games, including 14 starts, took 68 shots, including a team-high 50 on-goal, and had team-highs of 31 goals, 22 assists and 53 points. He also scored nine man-up goals, collected 22 ground balls and caused one turover. He earned second-team All-OAC honors. BW finished with a school-record 12 victories, including a record 11 straight wins to start the season, a 12-3 record and advanced to the OAC Tournament semi-finals.
As a senior in 2015-2016, Vinny is playing his fourth season of lacrosse and hopes to earn his fourth letter.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Vinny Carson grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Benedictine High School. He played four seasons each of hockey and lacrosse.
As a junior in 2010-11, Vinny garnered All-North Coast League honorable mention in hockey.
As a senior in 2011-12, he was named first-team All-NCL and All-Ohio honorable mention.
