ACADEMIC MAJOR: Marketing/ Management
BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Shane Rakich played his second season of lacrosse at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. The All-Ohio Athletic Conference student-athlete earned his second varsity letter.
GENERAL LACROSSE INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2013-2014, Shane played his first season of lacrosse and earned his first varsity letter. He played in all 14 games, including one start, took 63 shots (third), including 30 on-goal, scored 14 goals and tied for first with 18 assists for 32 total points (second). He also collected 11 ground balls and caused two turnovers. BW finished 7-7 overall.
As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Shane played his second season of lacrosse and earned his second varsity letter. He earned second-team All-OAC honors. Shane played in all 15 games, started one, took a team-leading 70 shots, including 41 on-goal, was third with 18 goals, tied for third with 11 assists and third with 29 total points. He also collected 15 ground balls and caused nine turnovers. BW finished with a school-record 12 victories, including a record 11 straight wins to start the season, a 12-3 record and advanced to the OAC Tournament semi-finals.
As a junior in 2015-2016, Shane is playing his third season of lacrosse and hopes to earn his third letter.
