Baseball Flies into Latest D3baseball/NCBWA Poll

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University baseball is ranked No. 18 in the latest D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) poll. 

BW (10-2) makes its first appearance in the poll since it was ranked No. 24 in the 2017 Week 2 poll. The Yellow Jackets finished off a spring break trip to Florida with a 6-2 record with two wins over Moravian (Pa.) College, walk offs over then-ranked No. 22 St. John Fisher (N.Y.) College and Bluffton University and closed out the trip with victories over the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford (Pa.) and Kean (N.J.) University.

In the poll, the top four remains the same with the University of Massachusetts Boston in first, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in second, Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) College in third and North Central (Ill.) College in fourth. Trinity (Texas) University jumps from seventh to fifth.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, March 17, with a non-conference doubleheader against Wittenberg University at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Fisher Field.
