Complete ABCA/Rawlings Division III All-America team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference left fielder Dudley Taw (Sheffield Lake/Brookside) has been named to the 2018 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-America team, as announced by the organization late Thursday night.

All ABCA/Rawlings All-Region first team selections were nominated to the All-America ballot.

A second-team selection, Taw is the first Yellow Jacket to receive the honor since Mark Zimmerman received third-team honors in 2016.

Taw earns his first All-America honor after two separate All-Region selections and his first All-OAC nod. The sophomore posted career-best numbers with a .385 batting average, a .467 on-base percentage and a team-high .714 slugging percentage. Taw led the team with 14 home runs, 16 doubles and was second on the squad with 59 runs batted in (RBIs). He also tied a school record with four stolen bases in a single game. In his two-year career, Taw has posted a batting average of .356, an on-base percentage of .440 and a slugging percentage of .648 with 17 doubles, two triples, 14 home runs, 65 RBIs and 54 runs scored.

BW finished the 2018 season with a school-record 33 victories, winning the program's first OAC Tournament title since 1985. The Yellow Jackets advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the seventh time in school history and finished the New York Regional with a 2-2 record.
