AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC thrower Brooke Buckhannon (Collins/Western Reserve) has repeated as the OAC Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, earning the honor for the fifth time in her career.

At Saturday's unscored meet at the University of Mount Union, Buckhannon won the hammer throw for the second time in as many meets, tossing a career-best 179 feet, 5 inches to maintain her hold on the nation's best mark in the event. The senior also claimed a pair of runner-up finishes in the shot put and discus throw with marks of 40'6.25" and 131'9", respectively. Buckhannon now ranks 13th in discus and 16th in shot put nationally.

For her outdoor career, Buckhannon is a four-time All-OAC performer, a three-time All-Ohio performer, a two-time U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lakes Region honoree in the hammer throw and a national qualifier in the hammer throw.

BW will host the 51st Sparky Adams Invitational on Friday, April 2, beginning at 10:30 a.m. inside George Finnie Stadium.
