Three Women's Track and Field Athletes Earn All-Great Lakes Region Honors

Complete Outdoor USTFCCCA All-Region Team

NEW ORLEANS, La. –
Three Baldwin Wallace University women's track and field student-athletes were named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lakes Region team.

Senior All-OAC thrower Kasey Clouse (Norwalk/Western Reserve), senior All-OAC jumper Erin Kasper (Amherst/Marion Steele) and freshman distance runner Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) each earned All-Great Lakes Region honors.

Clouse earns her first All-Great Lakes Region honor in the discus event. This season, she had a season-best throw of 145' 11'' at the Harrison Dillard Twilight and earned All-OAC honors in the shot put and discus. In her career, Clouse has earned All-OAC honors five times in outdoors, including a chance to compete at the national meet as a junior and earned All-OAC honors once in indoors.

Kasper garners her first All-Great Lakes Region accolade in the high jump. This season she recorded cleared a career-best mark of 5' 7'' in the high jump which qualified her for nationals and also won the high jump event at the Outdoor OAC Championships. Kasper also had a career-best leap of 35' 8'' in the triple jump at the Outdoor OAC Championships. In her career, she is a two-time All-OAC honoree in outdoors and a three-time All-OAC honoree in indoors, earned All-American honors in the high jump to help the team win the 2016 NCAA National Championship and was an All-Great Lakes Region selection in indoors this season. In addition, Kasper, was a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American third-team selection in 2016.

Brennan earns her first All-Great Lakes Region honor in the 800-meter run. In her first year running track and field she set a school record in the 800-meter run with a career-best time of 2:12.02 at the Harrison Dillard Twilight. Brennan was also earned All-OAC honors in the 1,500-meter run at the OAC Championships. In indoors, she was an All-Great Lakes Region and earned 1,500-meter run All-OAC honors in indoors.

Kasper closes out the 2017 outdoor season on Friday, May 26 as she competes in the high jump at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships hosted by the University of Mount Union at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
