AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference thrower Kasey Clouse (Norwalk/Western Reserve) has been named as the OAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week.
Clouse, who is the defending OAC Champion in the discus, earned her first career outdoor weekly honor after she won the discus and shot put events as the BW women won the season-opening Rose Hulman Institute of Technology (Ind.) Early Bird Invitational on Saturday. She had a mark of 138 feet and three inches in the discus, which currently is the third best mark in all of NCAA Division III. Clouse had career-best mark of 42'5.25" in the shot put, which currently ranks fourth in the nation.
For her career, Clouse is a two-time All-OAC outdoor performer in the discus and an All-OAC outdoor performer in the shot put. She placed 19th in the discus in her first appearance at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships last season. Clouse was an United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic selection a year ago. In addition, she is an All-OAC indoor performer in the weight throw.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, March 25 when they travel to Townson, Maryland to compete in the Goucher College Track and Field Classic inside Gopher Stadium.
