WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team blanked Wilmington College 1-0 for its fourth consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference victory inside Williams Stadium.

The first half was marked by scoreless, physical play although Wilmington (8-7, 2-5 OAC) had its fair share of scoring opportunities. BW's (10-5-1, 4-3 OAC) back line of senior Academic All-OAC defender Bri Osborne (Cincinnati/Batavia), sophomore defender Morgan Gray (Dublin/Scioto), freshman defender Caitlin Jurcago (Strongsville) and freshman defender Aundrea Scattino (Girard/Niles McKinley) kept the Quakers off the scoreboard despite their seven shots while junior Academic All-OAC goalkeeper Emma Bruno (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bethel Park) made five first-half saves. The Yellow Jackets sole shot came in the period came in the 10th minute off the foot of senior midfielder Cassandra Waickman (Stow/Stow-Monroe Falls).

BW got a few more scoring opportunities in the second half as well as a shot on goal from senior three-time All-OAC and Academic All-OAC forward Rachel Bender (Massillon/Jackson) in the 65th minute. With the offense clicking better and getting behind the wind, the Yellow Jackets finally took advantage of a Bender corner kick in the 77th minute that found Gray for the lone score of the game.

In the net, Bruno made seven saves for her fourth shutout of the season. Shots were few and far between as only 15 shots were taken for the entire game – 10 for the Quakers and five for the Yellow Jackets.

BW will close out the home portion of its schedule on Wednesday, Oct. 24, by hosting the University of Mount Union for Seniors' and Parents' Night at 7 p.m. inside George Finnie Stadium.
