BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse team faced Ohio Northern University in an Ohio Athletic Conference clash on the Tressel Field inside of the George Finnie Stadium. The Yellow Jackets fell to the Polars in the tight contest by a final score of 13-12.

BW (3-11, 1-4 OAC) was led by junior All-OAC midfielder Deanna Loukas (Tuckahoe, N.Y./Eastchester) as she totaled six points, tallying five goals, one assist, and added five ground balls. Senior Academic All-OAC attack Sophia Leuma (Bloomington, Minn./Thomas Jefferson) notched a hat trick in the contest and added four ground balls. 

ONU (8-6, 2-3 OAC) was led by sophomore attack Keaghan Burden as she totaled a team-high six points (three goals, three assists). Senior attack Meredith Miller notched four goals and an assist.

First Quarter

Freshman Caroline Potteiger (Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) was in goal for BW and notched four saves in the contest, facing 25 shots on the night.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, April 19 when the team is on the road to take on Marietta College in an OAC matchup. The game is set for 1:00 p.m. on the Marietta Field.
