BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Tabitha Murray is playing her fourth season of softball at Baldwin Wallace University in 2013-2014.  She is one of the top pitcher/ hitters in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

FIRST-EVER IN SOFTBALL:  On March 13, 2013, Tabitha pitched back-to-back perfect games as the Yellow Jackets defeated both Sul Ross (Texas) University, 8-0 in six innings, and Edgewood (Wisc.), 10-0 in five innings.  According to both the NFCA (National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association) and the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association), it marked the first time in ANY level of softball that this feat occurred.

GENERAL SOFTBALL INFORMATION: Tabitha entered her junior season hitting .377 (92-for-244) for her career with 47 runs scored, 19 doubles, 47 runs batted-in and nine home runs. She also has pitched in 29 games, starting 21 and including 14 complete games. Tabitha has a 13-8 record in 141 and two-third innings pitched with 116 stikeouts

As a freshman in 2010-2011, Tabitha was named to the the OAC Rookie of the Year, and as a first-team All-OAC selection. She played and started in 36 games and batted .388 (45-for-116) with five doubles, six homeruns, 26 RBI and 11 stolen bases. On the mound, Tabitha compiled a 6-0 record in eight starts with five complete games and an earned run average of 1.65. She struck out 35 batters in 46 and two-third innings.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Tabitha played in her second season of softball and earned her second letter.  She starting all 38 games and hit .367 (47-for-128) with 22 runs scored, 14 doubles, one triple, three homers, 21 RBI and five stolen bases. On the mound, Tabitha had a 7-8 record in 13 starts with nine complete games and a 2.73 ERA in 95 innings of work with 81 whiffs.

As a junior in 2012-2013, Tabitha played her third season of softball and earned her third varsity letter.  She was named as the OAC Pitcher of the Week on March 19, 2013 for her back-to-back perfect game performance (see above) during the spring trip to Arizona. She earned her second OAC Hitter of the Week award on April 8 for her efforts in a 5-1 week. She earned first-team All-OAC honors. BW finished 20-18 overall. 

As a senior in 2013-2014, Tabitha will play her fourth season of softball and return as one of the best players in Division III.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Tabitha Murray grew up in Mogadore, Ohio and graduated from Field High School. She played four years of softball, four years of basketball and three years of volleyball. 

In softball, Tabitha was a first-team All-Portage Trail Conference for four consecutive seasons at the PTL Most Valuable Player three times. Three times she earned first-team All-District honors and was the Offensive MVP three times.

In volleyball, Tabitha was an honorable mention All-PTL as a junior and earned second-team honors as a senior.

In basketball, Tabitha was a second-team all-league choice as a junior and an honorable mention choice as a senior.
