BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Kaity Mullen will play her fourth season of softball at Baldwin Wallace University in 2013-2014. She has earned three varsity letters and is one of the top scholar-athletes in NCAA Division III softball.

ACADEMIC HONORS:   Kaity is an outstanding student who carries a 3.843 grade point average.  As a junior in 2012-2013, she was named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference for the second time and as a member of the Dayton C. Miller and Chi Alpha Sigma honor societies. As a sophomore in 2011-2012, she was named honorable mention Academic All-OAC, tabbed as a Jacket Scholar, and recognized at the Student-Athlete & Faculty Recognition Luncheon for having the Highest Grade Point Average on the softball team. She also is a member of the Alpha Lambda Honor Society.

GENERAL SOFTBALL INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2010-2011, Kaity played in her first season of softball and earned her first varsity letter. She started all 39 games at third base and batted .353 (41-for-116) with 20 runs scored, six doubles, four home runs, 26 runs batted-in and one stolen base. She helped the Yellow Jackets to a school-record-tying 28 victories, a 28-11 record, an Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament title and a berth in the NCAA Division III Central Region Tournament. 

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Kaity played in her second season of softball and earned her second letter. She started all 38 games at first base (moved from 3B to 1B in the offseason), had a .287 batting average (29-for-101) with five doubles, three homers, 19 RBI and a steal. For her efforts, Kaity was named honorable mention Academic All-OAC.  The Yellow Jackets finished 18-20 overall.  

As a junior in 2012-2013, Kaity played her third season of softball and earned her third letter. She played in and started 35 games by alternating 3B and 1B and batted .288 (30-for-104) with 18 runs scored, two doubles, two homers, 20 RBI and two stolen bases. For her efforts both on the field and in the classroom, she was named Academic All-OAC for the second time in her career.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Kaity will play her fourth season of softball and look to earn her fourth letter.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   Kaity grew up in Avon Lake, Ohio and graduated from Avon Lake High School. She played four years of volleyball and earned three varsity letters, played four years of basketball and earned two letters, and played softball for four years and earned four letters.

In softball, Kaity was a 3-time All-Southwestern Conference selection from 2008 through 2010, a member of the All-District team in both 2008 and 2009, All-Medina County in both 2008 and 2009 and honorable mention All-Ohio in 2009. Statistically, Kaity batted .492 and slugged five home runs.

Kaity was the captain of the volleyball team in 2010 and the Most Valuable Player in basketball in 2009.

Academically, Kaity was a four-year Honor Roll student. She also received a Community Service Award.
