BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Ashley Elber has graduated from Baldwin Wallace University in 2013. She has been a great contribution to the softball team the past 3 years with a team record of 56-39.

GENERAL SOFTBALL INFORMATION: Ashley has had a solid softball career thus far. BW has recorded 56-48 record during her first three seasons in the Brown & Gold. For her career, Ashley is hitting .322 (97-of-286) with 52 runs scored, 18 doubles, 47 RBI, two triples, and 9 home runs.

As a sophomore in 2011, Ashley transferred from Evansville (Ind.) and played in her first season of softball and earned her first varsity letter as the starting leftfielder.  She started all 39 games and was named second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference and to the 2011 OAC All-Tournament team. She helped to lead the Yellow Jackets to the OAC Tournament title, a school-record 28 victories with a 28-11 overall record and into the NCAA Division III National Tournament for the first time since 1992.  Ashley led the team in batting average at .425 (54-for-127) with a team-leading 10 doubles, one triple and team-leading seven home runs. She also led the team in base hits (54), runs scored (35), slugging average (.685) and on-base average (.468).

As a junior in 2012, Ashley played in her second season of softball appearing in 31 games, of which 29 she started.  Ashley has a batting average of .256 (20 hits on 78 at-bats), and drove in nine runs.  Ashley recorded 20 hits, 4 doubles, and one triple.  In the field, Ashley had 30 put outs, one assist and just two errors resulting in a .939 fielding percentage.

As a senior in 2012-13, Ashley played her third season of softball appearing in 26 games, all of which she started. Ashley has a batting average of .284 (23 hits on 81 at-bats), and drove in 12 runs. Ashley recorded 23 hits, 4 doubles, and 2 home runs. In the field, Ashley had 23 put outs, 1 assist, and 4 errors resulting in a .857 fielding percentage. Ashley earned her third varsity letter.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Ashley Elber grew up in Huron, Ohio and graduated from Edison High School. While at Edison H.S., Ashley played basketball and softball for four years each, two seasons of volleyball and one season of tennis and earned a total of 9 varsity letters. She lettered four times each in basketball and softball, and once in tennis.

In softball, Ashley was an All-Sandusky Bay Conference and All-District selection, the Edison H.S. Most Valuable Player and a team captain for two years and had the highest batting average on the team. In basketball, she was an All-SBC player and led the team in assists for three years and served as a team captain. In tennis, shley was tabbed as the Most Improved Player in her only season of action.
