Wilson Named OAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the second time in his career, Baldwin Wallace University junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Isaac Wilson (Tylersburg, Pa./North Clarion) has been named the OAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

On Saturday, BW traveled up to Massachusetts to run in the highly-competitive Purple Valley Classic, hosted by Williams College. The meet featured six programs that were nationally ranked by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Wilson led the Yellow Jackets to a 10th-place finish out of 16 teams by running an 8k time of 27 minutes, 3.2 seconds to place 40th of 209 runners. The junior helped to pace the entire team as BW's top five runners all finished within one minute of each other.

In all three meets this season, Wilson has led the men's team by placing 11th and 26th at the Wooster Invitational and the Tommy Evans Invitational, respectively.

Wilson and the rest of the Yellow Jackets return to the course on Saturday, Sept. 29, to compete in the All-Ohio Championships, hosted by NCAA Division I University of Akron at the Silver Creek Metro Park Cross Country Trails.
